Dogs of New York's Adirondack Park

Photographer:

Project Description:

It’s no secret I’m a huge dog lover. I have three of my own. I live part time within the blue line of New York State’s Adirondack Park. Dogs have always been part of the culture here from the early guides to President Theodore Roosevelt to present day. In 2012 I started photographing dogs in the Adirondacks for a calendar I produce every year to promote my photography business. Some of this project has been published in a variety of magazines including Adirondack Life, Bark Magazine, Eating Well, Dogster as wells as a part of the permanent collection at the Adirondack Experience. I photograph a dog a month on average within the Adirondacks. I often photograph dogs for commercial projects that are very scripted. This was a chance for me to photograph real dogs doing what they love where they live.
