Gender Reveal is my visual exploration about the possibilities we each have on how we present ourselves in today’s society. It is my creative quest to delve into individual human behavior, how we search for acceptance, and ultimately fulfillment. You can have all the professional and personal accomplishments in the community as a cisgender, yet still not be able to achieve genuine inner happiness. I mean, look at the poster child for this movement: Bruce Jenner’s transition to Caitlin. Or more recently, Elliot Paige's transformation from award winning actress to actor.  

It’s not about one’s sexual attraction (although it’s sometimes obvious), or a political or religious statement on one’s beliefs, but a simple exploration on what makes a person feel authentic.  

Medical breakthroughs and pharmaceutical exploration, as well as public figures who have been publicly brave enough to reveal their true selves, have opened up the possibilities. Just because chromosomes determine our biological sex before we even exit the womb, does not mean we grow up identifying with that scientific conclusion. People choose to do extraordinary things everyday in order to find that elusive feeling of complete gratification. Choosing our own gender is now a viable option.  

He, She, They, We are all just fabulous humans trying to find our happy place.
