This project focuses on Israel/Palestine where my mother was born and raised and where my family lives. Homelanding is an amorphous story of pleasure, aching sadness and the fertile unknown in the Middle East. I photographed all over the country and included folks I met in Tel Aviv, Haifa, Jerusalem, The West Bank, Masada, Ein Gedi and more. At this juncture with the ongoing war, I ask viewers to take away a sense of how we can be more kind and gentle in the world.
